July 12, 2021 By CFI Staff

Calling all manufacturers and researchers in the sawmill industry: CFI is looking for presentation proposals for our annual OptiSaw Mill Optimization and Automation Forum. OptiSaw 2021 will take place virtually, in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, on Sept. 16 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. EST. OptiSaw is a one-day education forum focused on the future of sawmilling. It is a time-effective and FREE learning opportunity for those driving the future of sawmilling operations.
Presentations will be accepted in the following categories:
- Artificial intelligence advancements
- Robotic systems
- Mass timber technology
- Kiln drying
- Big data and IoT
- Modular technology
- Safety sensors
- Scanning optimization
- Continuous improvement for existing equipment
- Preventative maintenance strategies
Presentations that offer an in-depth case study, with input or participation from the sawmill staff involved, will be well-received.
