Quebec subsidizes natural gas trucks

Nov. 6, 2013, Montreal - Quebec has announced a rebate program that will subsidize 30 per cent of up to $75,000 of the additional cost natural gas adds to the price of a vehicle.

Natural gas emits up to 25 per cent less GHG than diesel and is about 20 per cent cheaper to purchase. The transportation sector contributes about 42.5 per cent of all GHG produced in the province.
