Record-setting wildfire burns in BC’s Cariboo region
Aug. 23, 2017 - The largest wildfire in B.C.'s recorded history is burning on the Chilcotin Plateau, 60 kilometres west of Quesnel and 60 kilometres northwest of Williams Lake.

The Plateau wildfire is the result of 19 separate fires merging into one and now stretches 130 kilometres from end the end.
A few rural communities are under evacuation order, but so far no major communities have been affected by the wildfire.
