Researcher studying hemlock-bamboo CLT
Jan. 3, 2016 - A researcher in China is looking into the potential of combining bamboo with B.C. hemlock to create a less expensive cross-laminated timer.

Funded by both Canada and China, Brad Jianhe Wang built China’s first CLT plant that is producing hemlock CLT. Adding bamboo, a native fast-growing species, to the CLT mix could help lessen the costs of the product in China.
