Resolute temporarily shuts Saint-Thomas sawmill in Quebec
March 6, 2023 By CFI Staff

Resolute Forest Products has suspended operations at its sawmill in Saint-Thomas-Didyme, Que., until June 11, reported Le Nouvelles Hebdo.
The temporary closure will not have any impact on workers, the newspaper quoted Resolute’s spokesperson Louis Bouchard as saying. The 15 employees directly affected by the shutdown will be moved to do other tasks or to other facilities. Resolute assumes the additional expenses related to these redeployments, Bouchard was quoted.
The company will use the downtime to do some maintenance work at the facility.
