Sawco and HMT forge partnership

Sawco Industries, based in Salmon Arm, B.C., and HMT Machine Tools Canada, headquartered in Surrey, B.C., have entered into a new strategic partnership.

Under this partnership, Sawco Industries has acquired the saw sales and manufacturing division of HMT, positioning itself to enhance industrial saw sales, service, and manufacturing across Western Canada and the U.S. Meanwhile, HMT will concentrate on sawfiling machine sales, parts refurbishing, and service for industrial clients throughout North America.

In a statement, the companies said the collaboration builds on the longstanding relationship between the two companies, promising to deliver superior quality and service to their customers.

Both companies are committed to leveraging their combined expertise to provide top-tier saw filing equipment, saws, and support to the industry, the statement said.

Cam Sitch, customer service and sales manager at Sawco, remarked, “This new strategic relationship will allow us to focus on providing a quality saw product and supporting our customers’ saw filing equipment needs.”
