Two Rivers to build turn-key mill in Alabama

Construction will begin in the first quarter of 2017 and will continue throughout the year with mill production scheduled for the third quarter of 2017. The successful execution of the project will require the combined efforts of BID Group’s facilities located throughout North America and the Management team of Two Rivers. The BID Group is excited to be part of the new Two Rivers’ operation and the benefits that the project and the operation will provide for both the company and the community.

The Demopolis sawmill will feature state-of-the-art technologies specifically designed, supplied, and installed by the BID Group including a Comact optimized log bucking system, a Comact saw line with profiling systems, and a fully-automated mill outfeed. The planer mill will be equipped with the new, and now proven, Miller high speed planer, and the latest Comact GradExpertTM 2.0. Lumber drying will utilize continuous kiln technology provided through a Deltech dual-path kiln.

The Two Rivers project continues to support the BID Group’s expansion strategy into the Southern United States which now operates a world class complex in South Carolina in addition to eleven other facilities spread across the continent to better serve regional needs while reducing geographical costs and barriers.
