The Montréal Wood Convention 2014

Jan. 14, 2014 - More than 500 people are expected to attend the Montréal Wood Convention, the largest annual Canadian lumber industry event, to be held February 18-20, 2014, at The Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montréal, Canada.

This year, producers and buyers will have the opportunity to meet in a large trade show area during two half day sessions (afternoon's of the 19th and 20th). The response to this new feature has been great, already some 70 booths have been reserved and only a few are still available. Exhibiting companies include industry leading lumber suppliers, manufacturers of engineered wood products, hardwood, wood construction and equipment and service providers to the wood industry.

High quality industry conferences are offered during two morning sessions. The multitude of activities also includes the luncheon with keynote speaker, Jacques Demers, Stanley Cup winning NHL coach and Canadian senator, contact sessions with overseas traders, company presentations and Cocktail Reception. Consult the complete program and register online at the website www.montrealwoodconvention.com.

Another new feature is the 2nd Canadian Wood Pellet Heating Conference being organized at the same time and location in collaboration with the Wood Pellet Association of Canada. Convention registration gives full access to this event as well. http://www.pellet.org/

The organizers of the Convention, the Quebec Wood Export Bureau (QWEB), the Quebec Forest Industry Council (QFIC), the Ontario Forest Industries Association (OFIA), the Ontario Wood Products Export Association (OWPEA) and the Maritime Lumber Bureau (MLB) are looking forward to welcoming you in Montréal.
