Scientist expects spruce beetle swarm in 2017
Oct. 20, 2016 - Forest companies in the Prince George, B.C., area should expect a swarm of spruce beetles to hit the area by next spring.

Entomologist Robert Hodgkinson said the warm spring this year allowed many of the beetles to mature early.
Hodgkison suggested proactive measures for licensees as part of a summit on spruce beetle management this week.
