Sharp Tool acquires K2 Carbide

December 30, 2021  By Sharp Tool Company

Sharp Tool Company has announced the acquisition K2 Carbide based in Redmond Wash.

K2 Carbide has been a supplier of carbide/alloy products for the North American market since 2008. Don Williams and his team have been committed to supplying quality products and delivering excellent customer service for the past thirteen years.

This acquisition makes sense for Sharp Tool on many different levels. Perhaps most importantly, there will be no disruption to the service and quality K2 customers are accustomed to. Sharp Tool has been offering quality carbide to its customers since 1980. We are the largest carbide tip & bar supplier in the United States and we are very familiar with the sizes and grades K2 offered. This was the driving reason behind the acquisition. We feel when we acquire a company, the customers come first. A smooth transition and customers’ comfort level is top priority.

Sharp Tool is committed to continue to provide the K2 customer base with the quality service they’ve come to expect from K2. We understand that some west coast customers may have concerns about delivery times as Sharp Tool is located on the east coast. We are offering expedited shipping at ground rates to the west coast customers to ensure packages are delivered in a timely manner.
