New Gear Equipment Sawmilling
Soderhamn Eriksson sets up in Canada

May 21, 2013, Laval, QC – Swedish company, Soderhamn Eriksson opened an office in Laval, Quebec, bringing its knowledge and expertise in sawmilling and parts for Cambio debarkers to Canadian customers.

Soderhamn's technology focuses on high sawing yield and it supplies bandsaw lines and edger optimizers to companies around the world.

Gerald Menard, who has been selling machinery tools and parts for the Canadian sawmill industry for many years, will head the Quebec office, and he will be supported by Jan-Eric Dahlberg from the head office in Sweden.

Dahlberg is the sales manager and is responsible for export markets like the British Islands and South America.

Since last year, Soderhamn reports a small but steady increase in building activity in the U.S. and predicts an upswing during 2014-2015. The company looks forward to a strong re-establishment in Canada.
