Sparks Lake wildfire near Kamloops grows to 2,300 hectares

The Sparks Lake wildfire north of Kamloops, B.C., has grown from 350 hectares yesterday afternoon to 2,300 hectares as of late last night, June 29.

According to CastanetKamloops.net, a new evacuation alert has been issued for 150 properties in the Deadman, Red Lake, Tranquille Valley and Vidette Lake areas.

The fire is still considered out-of-control, as the hot and dry conditions in B.C. continue.
