Timmins Eacom recovers from fire

July 8, 2014 – The oldest and longest running sawmill in Timmins is up and running again after a fire broke out in the mill's conveyor system on Friday afternoon. Repairs were made over the weekend and the mill is back in operation as of Monday morning.

The fire was contained to the external chip system, Eacom's corporate Director of Communications told the Timmins Times. The fire did not enter the sawmill and there were no injuries reported. The sawmill employs roughly 120 employees in the small town in Northern Ontario.
