Upgrades to Drayton Valley lumber mill
June 11, 2013, Vancouver, B.C. – Weyerhaeuser is planning on spending $23 million on production upgrades at its Alberta dimensional softwood lumber mill in Drayton Valley.
The company will make upgrades to the mills sawmill and drying operations to reduce cost and waste, increase energy efficiency and improve product quality and appearance. The changes are said to boost production capacity by 35 per cent as the North American housing market continues to expand.
