Heather Boyd
A dynamic, versatile, and proactive leader, Heather Boyd is dedicated to building and sustaining strong relationships to get things done. As the executive director of the Forestry Sector Council, she is spearheading the delivery of resources and supports that fortify a diverse workforce, developing a green and inclusive economy.

Previously, Heather worked with the N.S. Federation of Agriculture in its AgSector Program launch. Earlier, with Dairy Farmers of Nova Scotia her proudest accomplishment was implementation of the province’s first bulk milk supply chain electronic data collection system.

Heather is currently vice-chair on the Maritime College of Forest Technology Board of Governors, poised to be the first ever female chair.

At home in Truro Heights, N.S., she is a devoted mother and an avid community volunteer who stays active. Heather enjoys dance, squash, kayaking, skiing, and music.
