STEEP-SLOPE SOLUTION
With the new John Deere 959ML Shovel Logger/Directional Feller in your fleet, steep-slope logging doesn’t have to be an uphill battle.
Featuring industry-leading machine-leveling technology that enables exceptional stability, the 959ML is designed to tackle steep slopes and other challenging terrain. Its ability to easily grab all logs within reach when working either uphill or downhill minimizes overall ground disturbance. The new FL100 Directional Felling Head delivers outstanding grapple capability, arm durability, and rotate/tilt power, while the spacious, climate-controlled cab keeps the operator in comfort with expansive jobsite visibility, ergonomic controls, and an optional fully adjustable suspension seat.
The 959ML comes in directional-feller or a live-heel shovel-logger configurations so you can configure your machine to the specific steep-slope application. For operating in areas that are especially rugged and challenging, add an optional “tether-ready” hitch and a fixed four-point seat harness, available as dealer-installed field kits. The options don’t stop there, as the state-of-the-art slope-monitoring system that measures the actual ground-slope angle of the machine and displays the value in real time on the in-cab screen is an available add-on.
