At the BC Saw Filers Association annual convention last weekend, Tolko’s maintenance leader Brian Shale called saw filers the tip of the sawmill spear. “You guys represent the single most important part of our business,” he said. “When that tooth goes through that piece of wood, we make money.”
Shale also emphasised the importance of filers learning from each other, breaking the barriers of industry competition and instead working together.
