West Fraser completes acquisition of Angelina Forest Products

West Fraser is the new owner of Angelina Forest Products, a turn-key southern yellow pine sawmill in Lufkin, Texas.

The B.C.-based lumber producer announced today it is closing on the acquisition following completion of the U.S. regulatory review and satisfaction of all closing conditions.

West Fraser bought Angelina for approximately $300 million. Construction on the mill began in 2018 and operations kicked off in late 2019. It is expected to have full production capacity of approximately 305 million board feet within next three to four years.

West Fraser has more than 60 wood products facilities in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
