Wildfire near Squamish now considered contained says BC Wildfire Service

The BC Wildfire Service says that the wildfire near Squamish, B.C., is now considered as being held.

This means that the fire is not likely to spread beyond existing or predetermined boundaries with currently committed resources and under expected conditions. The fire was first discovered on Thursday and is about two square kilometres in size. The fire is suspected to be human-caused and is currently under investigation.
