June 26, 2015 – All 21 directors of the York Sunbury Charlotte Forest Products Marketing Board have been removed from their positions following the conclusion of a forest commission investigation.
According to a report from the CBC, a review of the board’s audited financial statements for the 12 months ending at the end of March of 2014 showed an issue with the financial situation. The situation related to a failed attempt to revive a sawmill near Fredericton.
The Marketing Board represents the interests of approximately 7,100 private woodlot owners in New Brunswick.
