U.S. accuses China of dumping products

Sept. 18, 2013, Washington - The U.S. has accused China of dumping their wood products on U.S. soil and has slapped high tariffs on Chinese hardwood and decorative plywood products. The tariffs will affect $750 million worth of imports that the Department of Commerce's International Trade Department claimed were both underpriced in the U.S. and enjoyed unfair subsidies from the Chinese government.

According to AFP, "the ITA said the anti-dumping duties would range from about 56 per cent to 122 per cent, and that anti-subsidy duties would run up to 27 per cent, depending on the exporter and product."
