The company will continue to operate three other mills in the state, including a medium-density fiberboard mill in Columbia Falls, as well as a lumber mill and a plywood mill, both in Kalispell.

Weyerhaeuser will add new shifts at both Kalispell mills, creating 130 new jobs. These will be filled by some of the 230 employees affected by the closure of the Columbia Falls mill.
