Worker killed at Gold River logging site

On March 1, a Western Forest Products contract employee was killed in a workplace accident at Tree Farm License 19 near Gold River, B.C.

Western Forest Products spokesperson Babita Khunkhun told Victoria News in an email statement that harvesting operations were immediately suspended and the company is working with the contractor and the authorities.

The worker was later identified as Chris Bohn, a 54-year-old father of three and a tree faller. WorkSafeBC is investigating the incident.
