WorkSafeBC addresses hazard of chain shot
The dangers of chain shot will soon be addressed in B.C.'s Occupational Health and Safety Regulation for forestry operations. WorkSafeBC has proposed the addition of a new section in Forestry Operations and Similar Activities that will cover the hazard of saw chain shot associated with equipment used in mechanical falling or log processing.

The proposed new section is one of dozens subject to public hearings to be held in September and October. Feedback through online submissions or by mail is accepted until Oct. 7.
