WorkSafeBC fines West Fraser $150K for violation

WorkSafeBC has fined West Fraser $150,983.96 after an inspection at the company’s Quesnel, B.C. plant.

According to My Caribou Now, WorkSafeBC found accumulations of combustible dust in multiple locations at a debarker building and plywood plant. The dust had accumulated near potential ignition sources. WorkSafeBC says the company failed to remove hazardous accumulations of the combustible dust.
