WorkSafeBC information sessions focus on process safety
April 27, 2018 - Process safety focuses on preventing catastrophic outcomes, such as fires, explosions, and exposure to hazardous substances, through systematic identification and management of risks in worksites engaged in potentially hazardous processes. Process safety involves the prevention of leaks, spills, equipment malfunctions, corrosion, component failures, and upset conditions that present serious risks to the health and safety of workers and, sometimes, the public.

There are potentially devastating consequences to workers and communities if process safety risks are not appropriately addressed by owners/operators and other stakeholders. Recognizing this, WorkSafeBC has launched a Process Safety Initiative. Addressing process safety through the Process Safety Initiative is a key step in our efforts to reduce serious injuries, disease, and workplace risks.
Please join us for one of these two sessions where we will provide information about process safety and about the WorkSafeBC Process Safety Initiative.
