Global wood markets outlook now available

International Wood Markets Group has announced Wood Markets 2013: The Solid Wood Products Outlook – 2013-2017 is now available.

September 5, 2012  By  John Tenpenny

The U.S. housing market appears to be on the road to recovery, and China looks poised to re-enter its growth trajectory. However, many questions exist, such as:

What “bumps” will appear on the road to recovery?

How far will prices rise before capacity reacts?

Where do imports and exports fit in the mix?

According to International Wood Markets Group, their consultants have been on the ground, travelling across North America, China, Russia, Europe and the Southern Hemisphere to gather insight into where wood markets are heading next. “Our forecasts are tied to grounded and up-to-date knowledge of regional and global lumber and panel market trends, and the perspectives are clearly different from some of our desk-bound competitors.”

WOOD MARKETS 2013 will explain how global wood markets have changed and where they will head over the next five years, based on in-the-field experience and pragmatic analysis.  Included are five-year forecasts and background on global and North American economic drivers, supply/demand analysis, import/export assessments and price forecasts for wood products commodities: softwood lumber, plywood, OSB, MDF and particleboard.
