Industry friendly rules from MNR

July 9, 2013, Ont. – The Ontario government aims to simplify and streamline provincial protection for species at risk by introducing more industry-friendly rules from the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR).

The MNR said that it will harmonize the Crown Forest Sustainability Act and the Endangered Species Act (ESA) to break down industry barriers and avoid duplication.
