Lumber prices rise on ongoing supply constraints: Madison’s

In the week ending Nov. 24, the price of Western S-P-F 2×4 #2&Btr KD (RL) was US$414 mfbm. This is up by $10, or two per cent from the previous week when it was $404 mfbm.
That week’s price is up by $20, or five per cent from one month ago when it was $384 mfbm.
Compared to the same week last year when it was $490 mfbm, that week’s price is down by $76, or 16 per cent. Compared to two years ago when it was $630 mfbm, that week’s price is down by $216 or 34 per cent.

In the week ending Nov. 24, the price of Southern Yellow Pine East Side 2×4 #2&Btr KD (RL) was $415 mfbm. This is up by $10, or two per cent from the previous week when it was $405 mfbm.

That week’s price is down by $54, or 11 per cent from one month ago when it was $469 mfbm. Compared to the same week last year, when it was $455 mfbm, that week’s price is down by $40, or nine per cent. Compared to two years ago when it was $820 mfbm, that week’s price is down by $405, or 49 per cent.
