N.S. sawmills looking for logs
January 8, 2014, Weymouth, N.S. – Nova Scotia sawmills are running out of logs to cut thanks to a shortage of timber coming from the former Bowater lands.
According to a report from The Herald News, winter snows and the upcoming spring road restrictions are causing some sawmill owners to look at altering their business plans.
No timber has moved from the former Bowater timber lands since the Government of Nova Scotia acquired the property in 2012.
