Sawmillers from around the world went to Portland, Oregon, from September 28 to 30 to attend the Timber Processing & Energy Expo.

More than 100 wood producers sent representatives to the three-day trade show that featured 170 exhibitors. The biennial event was last held in 2018 due to the pandemic canceling the show in 2020. It marked the fifth TP&EE since its inception in 2012.

There was an add-on conference featuring 10 speakers across two sessions. The morning session entitled Sawmill Of The Future: The Future Is Now, discussed the viability of digital twins in sawmilling, new scanning technologies, as well as robotic feasibility, while the afternoon session called Project Planning & Implementation: Bring It On discussed the good, the bad and the ugly of recent projects.
