Two Ontario sawmills to reopen after soft lumber markets forced temporary closure

On March 27, White River Forest Products and Hornepayne Lumber both shut down — putting about 300 workers out of work— due to the softening of the lumber market caused by COVID-19. But they are both now set to resume production.
Originally set to reopen after a two-week shutdown, Hornepayne Lumber will be restarting production on April 20 and White River Forest Products will restart on April 27, as reported by TBNewsWatch.
