BC court grants injunction to Nelson logging company

B.C.’s Supreme Court has ruled in favour of Nelson’s Cooper Creek Cedar to allow the company free access to a logging road that had been blocked by protesters.

According to bclocalnews.com, Justice Joel Groves granted an injunction to the logging company, stating that “The company has a right to access the road and the right to log . . . The protesters do not have a right to block a road.”

The defendants had been blocking the logging road near Argenta, B.C., since Aug. 16.
