Canadian jobs at risk as softwood lumber deal fades
June 21, 2016 – An industry analyst says Canadian jobs and sawmills are at risk as it becomes increasingly likely the industry will face new U.S. duties on imported softwood lumber.

Paul Quinn, an analyst with RBC Capital Markets, says he expects the U.S. will introduce duties of at least 25 per cent in mid-2017, putting pressure on Canadian producers.
