UPDATE: B.C. lumber yard worker fatalities

February 10, 2016 - According to an exclusive report from Global News, there are “damning reports from WorkSafeBC” that show United Gateway Logistics, the lumber yard where a recent accident claimed the lives of two workers in New Westminster, B.C. had several infractions prior to the day of the fatal accident, which took place on Jan. 23, 2016.

The infractions in the report included: having no first aid attendant on site; forklift drivers with no qualifications; no regular safety inspections conducted; and workers did not wear high-visibility gear around forklifts.
