Kalesnikoff reveals plan for Duhamel Creek
Jan. 26, 2015 – Kalesnikoff Lumber has provided an update on its forest management plan for the Duhamel Creek region.
According to an article from the Nelson Star, about 100 people attended the session that introduced technical data regarding the plan for logging in the region and how it will affected the area’s residents.
Officials from the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations tenure office, Duhamel Creek Watershed Society and the Regional District of Central Kootenay joined Kalesnikoff in providing technical data to support the forest management plan, taking into consideration issues regarding landslides and flood events.
