SEC merge into Comact product line

January 6, 2015 – SEC, a subsidiary of the BID Group of Companies, announced that its line of products will be merging into the Comact line of products.

The BID Group of Companies stated that this decision is part of a plan to offer a completely integrated “world class solution” for its sawmill and planermill customers.

Comact, as part of its line of products, will offer and support the SEC Fence, sawmill and planermill Stackers and stick systems, tilt hoist and pivoting hook sorters.

The engineering will be done out of the Quebec-based Engineering group with the manufacturing being performed as close as possible to the market in one of the company’s seven facilities across North America.

The Salmon Arm facility will continue to manufacture equipment and parts for the BID Group product lines of Comact, Deltech, PHL, Miller Planers and its recent addition of Ron McGehee.

“We continue to be committed to the Salmon Arm area and our exceptional people, manufacturing capabilities, and our industry leading Serviplus Group,” the company stated in a recent news release.
