Teal-Jones shuts down logging operations on BC Coast

The Teal-Jones Group says it will shut down its  harvesting operations on the B.C. Coast as a result of weak lumber markets and the high cost of fibre, effective immediately.

According to CBC News, a substantial number of employees and contractors at harvesting operations in the Fraser Valley, on Vancouver Island, and at shake and shingle mills in Surrey, B.C., will lose work.
