Major fire at Sexton Lumber

Dec. 12, 2014, Newfoundland – A major fire at Sexton Lumber has caused extensive damage to the sawmill, including the destruction of a recently built steel structure on the site.

According to a CBC report, the fire broke out around 4:40pm local time on December 11th in the wood waste storage area. Firefighters from the Bloomfield-Lethbridge fire department responded to the scene. No one was injured in the blaze.

The RCMP is currently investigating the cause of the fire, however, no foul play is suspected.
