COFI and CFI launch seventh annual photo contest
Call for submissions that showcase great ideas that are shaping the future of forestry
November 9, 2022 By COFI and CFI Staff
The BC Council of Forest Industries (COFI) and partner Canadian Forest Industries (CFI) magazine are pleased to announce the return of the annual photo contest.
This year’s theme is “New Ideas. Great Forestry. B.C.’s Story” and calls for submissions that bring to life the province’s forestry story, and the new ideas that are contributing to a more sustainable sector.
“B.C. forestry continues to build on a strong history of innovation and B.C. forest workers are always looking for new ways to continuously strengthen how we take care of forests and the environment, and provide the world with low-carbon products that are helping in the fight against climate change. This year, we encourage contestants to highlight some of the new ideas that are shaping the future of the forest sector. Whether it’s through the adoption of new technologies to help us do things better and more sustainably, partnerships with Indigenous Peoples, or new uses of forest products, we are excited to see the entrants of this year’s contest.
B.C.’s forest sector has a great story to tell and we are pleased to once again showcase those who are passionate about making it great.” says Linda Coady, president and CEO, COFI.
Photo entries will be accepted from November 9, 2022 to January 7, 2023.
The grand prize winner of the contest will have their photo featured on the cover of CFI’s January/February 2023 issue and receive a $500 Canadian Tire gift card. Three runners up will each receive a $75 Canadian Tire gift card, and see their photos published in CFI, along with other various selected photos.
