Fire destroys Miramichi lumber mill

An overnight fire at New Brunswick-based Miramichi Lumber Products destroyed the building earlier this week, reports CBC News.

Hal Raper, chief financial officer and woodlands manager for Maritime Lumber (which owns Miramichi Lumber), told CBC News he believes the cause of the fire was arson. He also said it would cost $15 million to replace the building and its equipment.
