WorkSafeBC issues fine to Carrier Lumber

April 15, 2016 – WorkSafeBC has issued Carrier Lumber of Prince George a $30,000 fine as a result of high volumes of dust.
According to an article from the Prince George Citizen, five areas within the mill were recorded as having between one and ten centimetres of dust accumulation during the time of an inspection.
Carrier has been fine for dust accumulation before, receiving an almost $15,000 in 2014.
According to the Citizen, Carrier is appealing the most recent fine.
