Log exports back in news

Oct. 14, 2014 – Western Forest Products' announcement that it plans to consolidate its mills and close the Nanaimo mill has brought the subject of log exports on the coast of BC back into the limelight. Brian Frank, President and CEO of TimberWest, gives his view on log restrictions here.

Rick Neuwirth, President of United Steelworkers Local 1-85, says export laws don't go far enough to protect Canadian jobs.
