Ontario police arrest logging protester

Sept. 16, 2016 - The Ontario Provincial Police arrested a protester this week who was blocking a logging truck near Benny, Ont., where roads are being built to log an estimated 800 hectares in the area.

Barbara Ronson-McNichol told The Sudbury Star she was charged for mischief and released with conditions. Her concerns about logging in the area include loss of habitat, and her family’s business – a nearby outdoor skills and employment training camp.
