Study finds western trees use same genes to adapt
Oct. 3, 2016 - New genetic research on how two trees in Alberta and B.C. adapt to different climates may help the forest industry determine which trees to plant according to the changing climate.

The research, published in the journal Science, found that the lodgepole pine and interior spruce use the same genes to adapt to various climates in the two provinces.
