Supporting inclusion and diversity is how the Canadian forest sector can thrive.
Free to Grow in Forestry (FTG) aims to create a diverse and inclusive work force that provides the foundation for a thriving forest sector and healthy communities. Spearheaded by the Canadian Institute of Forestry and the Centre for Social Intelligence, we’re working to promote diversity and achieve gender equality and meaningful inclusion of underrepresented groups (women, Indigenous peoples, new Canadians, visible minorities, 2SLGBTQ+, and people living with disabilities) at all levels from technical to executive level positions in the forest sector.

A podcast working to move #ForestryForward  Today’s forest sector is changing, and many organizations are making strides toward implementing inclusion and diversity measures and recruiting underrepresented groups. But, there’s more work to be done. Join us as we hear from a variety of experts, individuals, and organizations across the forest sector and beyond sharing their stories and experiences on inclusion and diversity in forestry.
